We’ve always wanted waterfront property, guess we should’ve been more specific.
We’re still in Menifee CA at Wilderness Lake Campground. Until today, we didn’t take the “Lake” part seriously. As you can see, it’s been raining here. And when I say raining I mean raining. When your home is basically a metal box, the rain gets your attention.California has been in a major drought for a long time. This rain seemed substantial to us, especially since we needed muck-lucks to enter and exit the Big Rig, but according to the weather guys it’s about one-tenth of what’s needed. We’re hoping to skip the remaining nine-tenths.
Beesly and I got back from NoHo on Tuesday afternoon. Beesly is our daughter’s pooch. We are dog-sitting while she is in Toronto. Beesly’s great in the car, unlike our pooch Rigby. Rigby whines and shakes and insists on sitting in your lap. Beesly just lays on his orange blanket and occasionally looks up with his big brown eyes.
With two dogs in the Big Rig surrounded by a pop-up lake their “business” has been challenging. The water is several inches deep just outside our door. Both mutts have to be carried out and lugged until we get to the crest of the road and away from the geese. Muddy paws are not my favorite, especially with white leather couches. I’m doing my best to contain my inner clean-freak.
Tomorrow Beesly and I head back to NoHo. We’ll try to time traffic and leave here right after lunch. I’ll keep myself occupied until daughter gets into LAX about 10:00 pm. She’ll bring me back to the campground sometime Saturday. We’ll make sure we have time to hit a restaurant or two before we head back.
