Today was our final day in the waiting area at Camping World in Chattanooga TN. Thank goodness. We’ve spent the last week parked there daily with fuzz-butt, aka our poodle Rigby.
Camping people tend to be dog lovers, so Rigby got lots of attention. It started with 6-year old triplets. They were so excited about Rigby they nearly knocked her off the couch. The couch she was not supposed to be sitting on per the multiple signs posted everywhere. The triplets repeatedly read the “No pets on the furniture” signs and wanted to know if Rigby had sinuses.
Next there was the man using a cane and a walker with his Airedale, Cooper. Cooper was a “poor excuse” for a dog, per his owner. Cooper was a replacement for Hector, the “best darn dog that ever lived in these parts.”
Then there was Lucy, the black Lab that was much stronger than the frail woman trying to contain her. Her husband filled his time looking at brochures for new motorhomes. She spent hers wrestling Lucy.
We finally got the call. Our Motorhome was ready. The last piece of warranty work was done. Our gigantic slide out was fixed! Tomorrow we head out. We’re excited to get back on the road. Only about 2000 miles to go…
